I'm officially not going to melt down on this result. We went into a very difficult place to play with one of our best players in foul trouble, complete ludicris FT shooting not to mention the worst FT percentage team in the league hits like 19-23 from the line and we had a chance to STEAL a win....and with 15 straight home wins it would have been a steal.....Not to mention they're the best defensive team in the conference.

One of our shooters needs to step up and we will be fine in the tourney.....

Good game boys - we will see how these boys respond.....

I think it needs to be said that Ejim needs to keep his poise as a senior leader on this team. He has hurt us the last two games with technicals and he failed to keep his cool on multiple occasions tonight beyond the technical. Fred has the calm mentality that wins on the road and in tough neutral environments. The players need to understand that and play like their coach.
once tonight, when diang (sp?) was whining about something, the mayor jumped his arse. cyclones are gifted but mercy the attitudes work against that big time particularly in someone else's gym.

I know it will not happen, but I think Bubu could really help the team, especially on defense.

what the **** is wrong with Melvin ******* at every call

No clue but wondering the same.

I'm not melting down over the loss but exactly who in the **** does ejim think he is? Not like we didn't need those points at the end.

Not blaming the refs for the loss as they were poor both ways, but I think this game goes to show why they need to be made available to the media post game. Why was the ksu bench given a warning and not Ejim? What was the complete ruling on the foot to the face? Having these answers would help players adjust their game in the future and hold refs accountable.

Perhaps a senior that is a Big 12 POY favorite? Usually a player of Ejim's caliber gets way more respect than that weak-*** call. Hell, maybe he thought he was a walk-on scrub, as those guys get more respect than that.

The only player I have seen abused and fouled more in his career with nothing called is Victor Alexander, they hammered him every time down and they never said anything. Melvin just getting tired of it. Stupid play but this game wasn't lost there.

As for the game, it was lost when Hogue missed 3 free throws, one of them the front end of a one and one. Could have been up 5 easily and instead he throws up a bunch of bricks.

No big deal here though, actually thought our guys played hard and played well for the most part. Very hard to win there, a few brain farts, and a lot of missed layups and were still tied 69-69 with 2 to go. I do think we handle K State on a neutral court, but overall this is really a meaningless loss. Just need to take care of Baylor and Ok State.

If we had one of Chris Babb, Tyrus McGee or a big power forward this team would be almost unbeatable. Headed in the right direction, just need Thomas or Long to answer the bell as we go down the stretch.

Kane and Ejim had great games. I was really surprised Ejim wasn't warned before getting his technical. Hogue and Niang were not themselves (4-19 combined) and the bench was horrific. Long and Thomas went a combined 0-11 from the floor. They picked the wrong game to go cold.

He could have helped if he had never gotten kicked off the team. Since he didn't practice or play with the team for all that time he is useless now.

Niang needs to watch film (which I'm sure he already does) because teams are waiting for that spin move and he's getting off balance or forcing up a bad shot or not dishing it out soon enough before being doubled. At least it seems like teams are guarding it much better these past few weeks. See where Hogue tweeted how awful his back feels. Hope he can get some treatments to be in full beast mode for the stretch.

Teams? He had one bad game where he got doubled all night. Chill.

I don't think it's necessarily how bad we shot FT's... we were only 3% lower than our season average which equals 1 ft. KSU on the other hand was nearly 15% better from the stripe than their season average which was equal to about 4 pts to the positive for them.

Our RPI dropped like a rock. We went from 10 to 11. Should probably just cancel the season.

I hope most haven't lost faith in my game thread starting abilities. My record now stands at 10-4. Those 4 L's all came in tough places to place Lawrence, Norman, Manhattan. Morgan-town might be the one exception. I like our chances in final 2 games as every time we've lost a game with myself as thread starter we have won the next one. Then for next Saturday we all know my record in game threads at home.
