Like I said, you shouldn't be a **** to him. But no harm in telling him you think he's makign a mistake. At this point, I don't really care what Vaughn or UNLV or UNLV fans think of Iowa State fans.

Oh right, like how they got rocked by CSU by 18...not even SDSU can buy much airtime this year and they are in the top 5. The only way Vaughan is going to be a high first rounder is if he's just amazing, or he's pretty damn good for a great team. Dave Rice is not a great coach though, so I guess he'll just have to be amazing no matter what.

UNLV's team success will have almost no impact on his draft status. There was a first round pick from a low level Greek league last year, stop acting like NBA scouts won't be aware of him at UNLV.

What bugs me most about how this last week or so played out:

You obviously didn't understand what I was saying. I never said he wouldn't be drafted, but I guess people on here don't have great reading comprehension all the time.

I do reserve the right to be a little PO'd that he jumped for a school that was in on him for 5 months after we were for years. Especially when everything he said during his recruitment (coach relationship, chance at title) were major factors don't exist at UNLV. It's all shady as bleep.

Dave Rice was a Rhodes Scholar candidate, coached at BYU, and has a great nonprofit. Obviously these don't mean he's not slimy, but I'm not quite sure where you're getting that from.

Rice may not be slimy but Findlay himself probably is. A UNLV mega-booster than also funds his own prep school and he got rich off of being a car salesman...

Anyways, I am not as hurt with this news because I thought he was going to UNC the whole time. I wasn't ever sold on him coming to ISU.

Yeah and Jerry Sandusky had charity organizations for kids but does that make him a good person?

RV loves the attention and is self centered. Tweeted that because he was afraid the speculation of his announcement was dying.
