This is my biggest fear of what would drive Fred to the NBA sooner than later.
Recruiting is such a dirty, dirty business.

Not piling on you fsan, and it has been brought up before 1000x. What actual PROOF is there that anything dirty actually happened? Heresay is all well and good, and it goes on everyone knows that, but seriously. What does it ALWAYS have to be dirty recruiting? Maybe he made friends with a couple of the other guys that committed and wanted to play with them. Maybe he just likes living in Vegas. Maybe he wants to be the actual star of the team, and not share the spotlight with Georges/Monte/Thomas. To blame it entirely on dirty recruiting is lame and lazy.

I don't hold ill will towards RV and wish him the best. I, like many, question UNLV's tactics "especially with the UM beat writer saying 'bs is part of the business'" but there are also many valid reasons for him to like UNLV. I do, however, like the fact that Iowa State has subtly ruined his big "announcement".

So let me get this straight I know nothing about UNLV, but the beat writter for them was on Miller and Brinson and basically said the team and offense is a train wreck, fans dont buy tickets and their coach cant utilize talent. So why would anyone go there?

Still interested to see where he goes. I'm not 100% convinced it'll be UNLV. 98% convinced, but not 100%.

Our coaches have publically stated he is not going to ISU.. and you still arent sure?

Should be able to find a 4 year transfer who is more productive than a freshman 5 star.

Kane round 2 is what we need.

It'd be nice but they are extremely rare

They will have 5 mcdonalds AAs next year. They are in freaking Vegas. The NBA summer league will be there.

One could say he would have the limelight all to himself, and not have to share it with anybody else. He would be the star at UNLV...but here, at ISU, just a really good player.

No. UNLV has 2 other top 40 recruits for next year, and with RV now, one of the top classes in the country. I think the situation is very similar to what Baylor has each year.

Game over. Bummer. Nothing much our guys could do to counter the UNLV/Findlay/Kaffey shenanigans. I refuse to believe this was a clean recruitment.

Regardless, looking forward to seeing who we bring in instead.

I think a transfer or two would be great to fill out the roster bc I think they are very good next year without adding anyone. So get a transfer who has to sit out a year
