Does anyone remember when this thread didn't suck?

The moment Vaughn announced he was coming here, there were so many of you that were so optimistic about Vaughn coming here. Now, when NO REAL INFORMATION has been leaked, everyone is starting to panic and think he's not coming here. Whether it's "he's not following Fred on Twitter! Everyone panic and burn their house down!" or "Roy Williams definitely got him at the last second" or "UNLV is paying Vaughn" or "Wiggins went to KU when it wasn't it expected, so RV hast to come here" or the other 5,000 dumb@ss crackpot theories, you, most of the fans, have turned this thread into a joke. We have one more day until he announces, so all we can do is sit here and wait without knowing or trusting any B.S. information that is completely false from lousy sources. If everyone is going to have a s***y attitude about it, you're just making it worse for the fans here that are optimistic and think we have a decent shot at him.

At this point I don't know what to think. His initial announcement had me almost doing cartwheels because of the timing (we defeated OSU in triple overtime & had a tremendous amount of positive press). However, I think the Jerry Meyer prediction has caused the biggest concern among even the more rational posters on here. (I'm not calling myself rational, mind you.)

I honestly think he is going to choose IOWA STATE, just really wanted to think about it some more over the weekend I bet since people from all angles are pulling on him, especially UNLV. Our staff has been on him the longest, he enjoyed that "monster-game" against Michigan in Hilton, (has to enjoy speaking with Fred and our potential to be a very STRONG team next year).... so basically, our staff put us in great position to land one of the top Freshmen in the country.

Even if he doesn't choose us, it really is no loss. We have Clayton Custer coming in at guard next year as well, and that kid is solid. Custer, IMO, is going to be incredible. The team is going to thrive next year with or w/out Vaughn.

  @hansenry Spoken to plenty of people. Felt it was Iowa State for awhile, but UNLV has the "momentum" right now.
