Do you know who else is on that roster CW? Seems like he could be playing with some pretty good players with the influx of Canadian kids to D-I programs the last few years.

I love that he gets to do this. GREAT competitive opportunity. I think we all saw his game improve last year (little things like catching the ball, going strong to the hoop, etc). As great as the CCL is for our players over the summer, can't beat real games with defense. :)

The team plays the US team as well. We could see a Ejim / Aaron White matchup. That would be fun.

And don't forget about Doug McDermott... Also in this basketball abyss it would be good chance to see a competitive game.

Too bad Andrew Wiggins isn't playing for team Canada. Would have been cool to see them play as teammates shortly before playing as foes.

Chris:
It appears that the tipoff times you have reported are incorrect. Your times match Cyclones.com (and the DMR, for what that is worth), which I assume is your source. But after checking Big12Sports.com, ESPN/WatchESPN, the San Antonio Express, and USABasketBall.com, I conclude that the following schedule is actually correct:
Team Canada Opponent
Tipoff Time
(Kazan, Russia)
Tipoff Time
(Des Moines, IA )
Live TV
Sweden
Sun, Jul 7, 8:30 pm
Sun, Jul 7, 11:30 am
???
UAE
Mon, Jul 8, 8:30 pm
Mon, Jul 8, 11:30 am
???
Australia
Wed, Jul 10, 1:00 pm
Wed, Jul 10, 4:00 am
???
Czech Rep
Thu, Jul 11, 8:30 pm
Thu, Jul 11, 11:30 am
???
USA
Fri, Jul 12, 1:00 pm
Fri, Jul 12, 4:00 am
ESPNU

According to the World Clock, you subtract 9 hours from the time in Kazan, Russia to get the time in Des Moines (Yes, Des Moines is listed on the World Clock!). Not sure where Cyclones.com got their information, but could be they are Russian time with DST incorrectly assumed.

ESPNU will replay the USA games multiple times, but I did not see listings for any other games. Maybe the other Canada games are on some other outlet. I don't know, so I just filled those in as "???".

TIP: If you go to look it up on espn.go.com/watchespn to lookup the ESPNU coverage, be sure to filter on "International Games". The games are not listed under "Basketball" as you might first assume.

Mel had 6 pts and 7 rbs in 20 minutes. They beat Sweden by about 15. Heslip led with 22.
