I've heard some of the weather guys make reference to something coming down the pipe for next week again. What's this one looking like?
*Go ahead and speculate away. I just like to talk about weather. Won't hold any wrong predictions against anyone. Just curious what the models say.

The real question should be...

Will it be the forecasted 5-9" that turns out to be the 2-3" storm?

Or will it be the 1-2" dusting that turns into the 7-10" storm?

I kid....I kid. I love these threads too

Weather threads are one of my favorite things about this site. For real, I love them. Read them all the time.

Ditto, i used to make fun of fellow Iowans for talking about the weather. Now I do it and love it...though i still hate when my mother in law does.

KCCI played it brilliantly the other day with a "cover our a**es" type article on its website. The article's headline was something like, 'Any change in the track of storm could alter snow totals.' Nice. Way to get out ahead of things in case the 1-2" prediction turned into a 10" drubbing, which it did (and yes, that's what she said).

Agreed.

Really shows how CF becomes a one stop place for just about everything.

But what the hell, here's the 12z gfs model for today. If it moves south it could be something for us. Hopefully not, im ready for spring

Ok, its almost March.............time to warm up and open up the golf courses. Seriously i think the courses around here have been open by March 15-20th the past 5 years. Don't want an April start.

I'll take moisture in any form. I don't want another summer of watching radars hoping for any chance of rain.

As much as it sucked to be wrong with this one, it is another 0.70" of liquid, which is good.

We could use another dozen or two like it, but still good.
