The kicker to all of this is that the kid committed this early. He could have spent another full year being courted by some of the biggest schools in the NCAA, but he bought what CPR was selling so much he took himself off the market. While I realize a verbal won't stop other schools from pursuing him, it really does say something about CPR that he committed this early.

Where did I say Ross P was a lock to commit to Iowa? I didn't....I realize there is a greater chance he goes elsewhere, than goes to Iowa. Simply said he wasn't going to go to Iowa State. I feel fairly confident about that. As far as Lazard and Campos goes, those are two great commits for Iowa State. Momentum is clearly snowballing in the program right now, and those two players could turn out to be tremendous players for you. However, I think most Iowa State fans are losing sight of the fact that these kids grew up ISU fans in central Iowa. I realize a few years ago they would have gone out of state, and them choosing ISU clearly shows you are improving. But why don't we hold off on the in-state domination talk, and wait until they get a commit from somewhere east of I-35 before we claim them in-state kings.

Campos wasnt really an ISU fan as a kid, to my knowledge. I know that family, both parents went 2 drake.

The most impressive game I've seen from Allen came against Dowling this season where he drew pass interference on multiple occasions and still came down with the ball. In the second half, Dowling came out and triple covered him - no exaggeration either.

After watching that.....wow! Can he also be an offensive lineman?!?? Kid either takes his block to the ground or 5 yards out of bounds!

Two things I love: first he doesn't showboat after a catch, td, or block and second his ability to go up for the ball at the highest point. I see where all the hype is coming from. You don't normally see this in an Iowa kid!

Only question now... Who will be throwing to him?

I honestly don't think it will matter much. 2 reasons for that. #1 our qbs looked bad because of bad recievers, he will make a qb look better. #2 If someone beats out Sam now, they must be darn good.

Sounds like the real deal. Hope the kids stays healthy and hope he can resist all the attention he'll continue to get from other schools. It's like being engaged to your High School sweet heart and having all kinds of babes hitting on you.
