This keeps getting better... Hope to god we can keep him.

I think we have a good shot of keeping him. His dad playing here and is brother currently on the team certainly helps. It also seems he has a pretty good relationship with some of the players on the team already.

I have been a Cyclone fan for 28yrs and this is just a great moment, Campos started it and it followed with Lazard. There have some great memories and there have been some bad ones to, but we are turning the corner and I hope it just keeps going nice and steady.

STEADY AS SHE GOES!!!! ARE YOU STEADY NOW?!?!?!?!....... Sorry couldn't resist using a Jack White verse in reference to Iowa State, never had the chance

FWIW, I asked Josh Helmholdt (Rivals recruiting expert for the Midwest) about the possibility of Lazard becoming a 5 star. His response was "He's going to be in the hunt, no doubt. Already been selected to the Army Bowl, so that shows how big time he is."

Looks like we could be adding one more star to that rating here is my twitter convo with a guy at rivals

@tomkirk5: @JoshHelmholdt is there a chance he gets bumped up to a 5 star?

@JoshHelmholdt: @tomkirk5 Very good chance. We evaluate constantly for the next 14 months and re-rate accordingly. He's on the cusp now

Looks like he will fit ISU's system well. I can't say I've ever seen a team run an offense like Urbandale's though

This isn't anything that hasn't been said already, but I watched him in 3 games this year, and he is an absolute beast. He physically dominated everybody he went up against. Color me excited.

I got to know Kevin a bit when he was an underclassman. Very good kid, good-natured, hard worker and very respectful. I hope Allen is cut from the same cloth.

Great day to be a Cyclone.

"Fit ISU's system well"? I suppose you think that Adrian Peterson would have fit ISU's system well, too?
Did you watch the highlight video? He took horizontal screens and turned them into 10+ yard gainers. ISU happens to run the screen a lot with receivers, correct?

Not many systems don't want a 6'5 athletic freak receiver with speed. Hell, Georgia Tech ran the triple option with Calvin Johnson there.
