I would guess we would get a California recruiter that has experience and not a G.A., but that is just a guess.

Seeing on Twitter that Bobby Elliott has accepted a job at Notre Dame.

ISU coaches getting plucked away by big programs has to be a good sign.

Wonder if CPR stays in house again and hires a G.A. for the DB's.

It may be a good sign for our program, but doesn't help us out much if we don't get a suitable replacement. Ask DMAC about that.

Anyone surprised by this hasn't been paying attention. 2 years was probably the over/under for him at ISU. He's a mercenary and will always move around. He provided value here in his 2 years, so wish him the best.

This one has to be a recruiter. Well, this one does or the WR coach does. I expect a hire from the west coast and I have to think Austin Flynn will be the other coach.

im upset that our staff continues to lose members. the same thing resulted in the demise of dan maccarney. a head coach is only as good as his assistants and eventually the head coach can't continually hire sufficient replacements.

Actually he can when he has the money, which Paul Rhoads has way way more than McCarney had. ISU is also a much better looking destination than it used to be.

I'd be REALLY surprised if we hired Flynn and not someone from at least an FCS school, if not FBS.

Didn't know Elliot played for Iowa. Also coached as a D Coordinator for Iowa & Kstate.

It isn't good that he is gone, but it is good that other programs want our assistants, and ND is a good place to lose them to.

I believe his dad used to be the AD at Iowa. Supposedly last years (2010) Iowa game was the first one he had ever lost in the series.

I wish Elliott the best, but I hope this is the last time ISU offers him a job. I remember several years ago, when his health was very tenuous, ISU gave him a job when he probably needed it most. A few years later he left for greener pastures. He's doing the same thing again.

One can't blame him for a move from ISU to Notre Dame, but I hope it's the last time ISU offers him a safe landing spot.
