He's never gonna get a bigger job so he is going for the biggest paycheck he can get -- can't really blame him for that.I figured the guy was ready to settle down and be at one place for more than a few years, when he took the ISU job.

As well as experiences...why not coach at ND? Whether one likes ND or not Coach Elliott will enjoy some great experiences from this stint. I have zero problems with Coach E taking this position.
would like to see former ga Nick Caley get some consideration for the job as he has been tutored by two of the best in Elliott and Ash
I'm hoping Jimmy Burrow, the DC from Ohio gets a call, he is a good coach, good recruiter and has a few players in the NFL. He also still has a few friends in Ames from a few years back.too bad, he's a good young up and coming coach

Similar money, bigger upside, potential promotion(Wally can't coach forever)..., he has connections other than Nebraska, including Ohio, Mississippi, and Iowa. I think he would be a good hire. Why would he go from DC at Ohio to a position coach at ISU? I don't think we are offering that kind of money. Also, Burrow looks like he pretty much only recruits in Nebraska and I don't think that's a focus area for us.

Hmm, I'd be interested to know if the money was similar or not. Burrow is the Assistand HC, DC, and Safeties coach.
I just don't see him dropping down to DB coach with those titles. He would probably be a more likely successor to Frank Solich at Ohio. Frank is 67 this year.
Just my opinion though.
He would likely be recruiting coordinator as well as dbacks coach though, which makes the gap a little smaller.
