Casey's bread and butter is the small little towns where they are the only game in town. You need gas, or a quick something to eat, it's the only place you can get it after say, 6:00 o'clock at night. All most every little town in the state has one, and they are pumping in the profits for the corporation. Most stores are older, little money being put into them and they make a killing. They must be doing something right. Turning profits and plans to add a ton of new stores.
As for me its really hit or miss depending the store.
You are correct. it is across from Bennigan’s. I forgot about that one.Unless it has closed since Feb you are incorrect. Go to the 2nd (?) Stoplight turn N KwikStar is there.probably the same distance from the interstate as the one to the east.
Yes, there is.There’s a Kwik Star west of 35 by DQ isn’t there?
you can clearly see when they cut the drug tests and bathroom cleaning expenses
Genuine question... how do road trips work out? Are you one of the folks I see stopped sitting outside of like a Quality Inn that has a charging station next to I-80
Naturally I sold that some years back when it was hovering around 95-100. Facepalm
A couple of K&G stores near me (WDM) have started carrying Maverik branded goods and wearing Maverick t-shirts instead of K&G. The fast food choices have also changed considerably in the last 6 months or so. Guy behind the counter said they are going to rebrand. Probably doesn't know much so take it for what it's worth.
No, No, No! I'm not carrying a card around just for a gas station. Is there a card to tap for Casey's rewards?
The constant number entry seems so archaic.

Been in Mtown all 37 years I've been alive and always been clean and well stocked on everything you could want there. All 3 locations.Gas station life cycle:
Phase 1 - new build, modern, clean, everything works, best employees to get it started up
Phase 2 - maintained well, employees still have pride and effort
Phase 3 - facilities start to breakdown, lack of reinvestment, employees lose hope, cleanliness takes a dive
Phase 4 - hazmat bathrooms, surly employees, lost cause
Caseys in phase 1 and 2 are fine. Caseys in 3 and 4 are probably worse than I've described above.
Kwik Star is basically in phase 1 and 2 in Iowa as they've expanded a ton the past 5-10 years here. I HOPE they reinvest and keep running it right, but IDK if anyone in the space has ever really done that.
In Ames. They’re talking about Mason City I think. There’s a Kwik Star west of 35 by DQ isn’t there?
