I sure hope the folks who say these problems are mostly talent-related are right. I kind of doubt it myself...

So where do you think we should be with a freshman QB, 3 soph & 1 freshman RB's, and an receiver class that has underachieved for years?

Losing Herman would set the offense back, he finally has the right players on the roster to run his offense. A coaching change is not what the offense needs right now.

This would be an terrible move, so he is demoting himself in a position where he will have to be promoted to OC again? I have never heard of QB coach making the jump to HC.

Meh, I'd prefer he stayed but I have confidence that PR would hire a good replacement. I don't see him hiring someone with a different philosophy than Herman. It would be nice to see Herman have a breakout season in '12 though...

Same pay for less responsibility ain't bad. Herman's a MENSA guy, right? He's probably making this move, if he is, thinking about how he's getting to a HC position.
