I don't understand the choice in defensive game plan with about 55 secs left. We just got it down to 3 and decide to do a soft man-to-man press. We give Drake exactly want they want. Scottie up top guarding their point guard. Not only to they get to burn 30 secs off the clock but they get to blow past Scottie and get an easy layup to put the game away.

With any luck CFH has learned his lesson that he should have got a JC PG because this is what is the problem with this team.

last years team played with heart in every game but did not have enough horses
this team is more talented but no heart whatsoever

we won 16 last year so i will say ISU wins 14 this year

Biggest issue right now I think is the defense, seems like we give up way too many easy baskets and the effort is not there. Free throw shooting and shot selection was poor tonight too. I have not problem feeding the ball to Royce in the paint often and letting the defense collapse around him to get an open 3 but we were just jacking up contested shots all night instead of running an actual offense.

Well I just lost all hope for this year. You can't win without a pg, scott is a horrible pg and is an even worse defender. Guess I will just go back to expecting nothing good, easier that way.

We had a legit point guard last year...this years team does not. Doesn't matter how much talent you have if you don't have at least a serviceable point guard.

Scotty needs to play off guard and not point too. He's one of our best shooters and its hard for him to get shots when he's being counted on to run the point.

Embarrassing. I had thought that if this season was going to be a disappointment, we'd at least get to have some fun early on before we got exposed against a decent team. Guess not:sad:. Hopefully this game serves as a wake-up call, and we pull things together and end up as a decent team this year. I've said that after the first loss every season for years now, and it has yet to happen...so I don't have much hope.

Oh, and would that moron who hates DG and thought we'd be better off this year without him like to change his opinion?

This team needed to lose. They need to come to terms that they need to play as a team, play harder, and better.

I am amazed at how poor we looked after going to ital;y. We frankly slipped by Lehigh. Is our game plan for royce to force the ball up or Allen to jack up threes> Where are the CFH envelope plays.

We would be better to just go fastbreak.

Second game of the season with brand new players. It is going to be a long and bumpy road. The expectations where WAY too high coming into this season. These guys are going to be fun to watch when they finally click and learn how to play as a team though!! Stay tough CFH!!

don't get why FH plays SC at point guard...he's arguably our best player and making him do something that isn't in his comfort zone is very shocking...

Why not have Allen play point? SC is better than Allen so why have SC sacrifice his shooting when Allen chucks up 40 footers?

PG- Allen
SG- SC
SF- Babb
Pf- White
PF- Booker

Ejim needs to sit for his ****** performance...Booker wasn't much better but he atleast had effort...Allen is barely starting over McGee just because I think the injury is affecting him...shocked at how bad SC is at PG...that's the biggest thing I took away from tonight.

Disagree with this. I think that the team looks like it is missing a leader. Also looks like they are not gelled like a team that has been playing together for multiple years. Not too worried. In Fred I trust.

-Scotty C can't play PG and can't defend. Can be effective situationally coming of screens
-Babb, Allen, and White all have pretty bad shot selection
-As a team very few shots taken in any kind of rhythm. Only thing I can think of is McGee had a few nice buckets following some good ball movement
-No attempts to get Ejim involved
-Every time I saw Sledge over on the bench I could tell exactly what he was thinking.
-I love Bubu, but if he is still playing this much in January, we're screwed
-Do we know how to throw an outlet pass and get into transition
-All this talk of CFH improving players shots, then why are we so bad at free throws?
-I don't feel like these issues can be attributed to it being early in the season. Glad I get paid to be at the games instead of having to pay to go :)
