Statements From The Big 12 Conference On Texas A&M - Big 12 Conference - Official Athletic Site

Board of Directors Chairman and University of Missouri Chancellor Brady Deaton: "The chancellors and presidents of the Big 12 are committed to keeping our conference competitively and academically strong. We have a process in place that enables us to move aggressively regarding the possible expansion of the conference and to assure our members and student-athletes that we will take advantage of the most productive opportunities in the best interests of all."

Commissioner Dan Beebe: "Texas A&M president R. Bowen Loftin has notified the Conference of his decision to withdraw the university from the Big 12 effective June 30, 2012. The presidents and chancellors of the nine remaining member institutions are steadfast in their commitment to the Big 12. As previously stated, the Conference will move forward aggressively exploring its membership options."

Wouldn't it be 2?

No.

By the order of operations youd do 9+3 (12).

Then you would take 48, divide it by 2, and multiply it by 12, and get 288.

Though (ive seen a similar problem to this before) a lot seem to think you have to do the 2(9+3) first, as if the 2 is in the parentheses too.

Did he mean it as a fraction though? As in:

48
------
2(9+3)

So, we've found out a couple of things, including that the SEC can't necessarily renegotiate their TV deals to make this financially beneficial, as well as the fact that A&M has had financial issues within the AD in the past.

I wonder if that rumor of some donor giving the TAMU A.D. millions for Kyle Field in exchange for a move to the SEC has a kernel of truth to it, or else some accountant in College Station might be wondering what the deal is.

It doesn't make any sense economically unless like you say, some donor has promised to donate millions to make up for the exit fee. Im assuming they aren't very good with money seein that in the very recent past their Athletic deparment was in the red.

Nor does the move make sense from a winning standpoint since it will be extremely difficult for them to consistenly win in the SEC.

It only makes sense from a stability standpoint but I assume that if the big 12 broke up in a few years they could have easily joined another conference. That is why anyone can clearly see that is strictly a jealously move because they can't stand playing second fiddle to Texas.

Colorado and Nebraska's moves made much more sense that does A&M's.

I just think that once they start playing in the SEC they will regret making the decision because they wont be able to consistently win. What fans want most of all is to win and if they couldn't consistently win in the big 12 they certainly aren't going to do it in the SEC.

Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally

Paranthesis, Exponent, Multiply, Divide, Add, Subtract

1. Paranthesis: 9+3 = 12

2. Multiply: 2 x 12 = 24

3. Divide: 48/24

Answer = 2

Thats not how it works. Its multiply or divide, add or subtract, as in, theyre equal, you move left to right

Division is just inverted multiplication, subtraction is just adding a negative.
