Thats to bad but at the end of the day how many college kids do get busted for public intox? I hope he turns this into positve motivation and it serves as a wake up call for him to refocus on his wrestling career.

At least he's of age and didn't have to pull out a fake ID like Long did repeatedly. He'll probably have to miss a meet at most or something.

Shame on you Trent. That was very naughty of you. You need to go in the corner and think about what you have done. Then after that you can go out to play.

Well, that was a ******* thing to do. I thought public consumption was just a ticket though, not something they hauled you in for.

Iowa State wrestler Trent Weatherman arrested for public intoxication | The Des Moines Register | DesMoinesRegister.com

Register says it was public intox. Sounds like he was being a drunken idiot, though not on the level of Long. My guess is after what went down with Long last year he'll get a pretty severe internal penalty, and probably miss a few meets to start the season, probably either up until the Iowa meet or until just after the Iowa meet. But as long as he doesn't have any further issues I think that would be sufficent.

Maybe he should drink before meets, bring a little bit of that aggression to the mat and be better than a .500 wrestler.

there's a big difference between being intoxicated and being a drunken idiot.
