I may be wrong but didn't he attend something like 3 different high schools due to issues like this?

And yes, he does have the 'I am the man' attitude..he gave himself the nickname T-Magic which also happens to be his text message signature.

I would assume that some kind of waiver would be granted to him under the unique circumstances that Nebraska leaving the Big XII creates.

I feel like the waiver would come from the NCAA; however I feel like if it does come from the Big 12 that could be an advantage because I don't think the Big 12 administration are big fans of Nebraska after this summer.

Maybe if he came here he would lose the attitude because he's a cyclone fan. He has cyclone in his family so maybe that would let him have some fun here.

This appears to be a foregone conclusion, but all of my Husker co-workers are saying they've heard pretty much the exact same story.

His dad is a Cyclone, what would you think if your son was playing for Nebraska? Nebraska was the kids only choice at the time, he had to go to Nebraska to play on the big stage.

Sorry I must have missed something, but what are Cyclone ties?

Maybe he could go to Ohio U. I hear they like disgruntled QBs.

It's interesting players transferring conferences are penalized more than TEAMS transferring conferences.

could someone that knows enlighten us on the transfer release rule. Seems with Wesley we released him to anywhere but Kentucky (or Tennessee). Could the Pelinis block him from being a Cyclone?

I'm pretty sure losing a season of eligibility is a conference rule, not an NCAA one. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong about that.

I thought it was an NCAA rule you have to sit out a season. I believe if it's within the same conference the Big 12 makes you sit out an ADDITIONAL year...so it would be a 2 year penalty.

And now please correct me if I'm wrong.

Looks like I'm right about the NCAA rules at least.

It seems to me that if he were to transfer to anywhere else in the Big 12 that the NCAA and Big 12 would do pretty much anything to ensure that "T-Magic" is eligible for the 2011 season.

However in light of ISU's history with the NCAA and player eligibility the NCAA would likely first rule that he would be eligible which would send our fan base into an orgasmic frenzy only to have the ruling overturned resulting in that nauseating feeling like you get when someone kicks you in the nutz.

Why would they care if he came to ISU? It isn't like we are ever going to play Nebraska again anyway right?

I will **** some poeple off here. The same ones that say, "WE NEED IMMEDIATE IMPACT PLAYERS. WE CANNOT AFFORD TO NOT TAKE CHANCES...rabble rabble rabble." I do not want Taylor Martinez here. Sorry. He has been a headache and will continue to be a headache. There are better options for this team.

how has he been a headache? He "violated" a team rule? Im pretty sure there are worse offenses than cell phone usage.

Good grief. If nebraska wants to kick his all-american *** off the team- we should welcome him with open arms.
