A chain with locations in at least 4 states isn't exactly unique.

Well lets see.. Black Market had 2 locations.. Now one because of poor management decisions.

Machine Shed started in 1978 in Davenport as a family Restaurant.. Yes 4 states now, but it is an Iowa original. And became a chain because of hard work and good food. I know, it's hard being successful.

Black Market was wanting to become a chain in the area. Local Chain, but still.

Then Machine Shed would be appropriate for Man vs Food - Davenport. Too many legit locals to choose from to have to go down the Machine Shed route IMO. It just isn't necessary.

Ok... Good point. Just pointing out that food choices and places seemed borish.. Jethro's was a great idea. High Life alright... Would of done something more like the High Life Burger or whatever that's called with bacon tots.

Black Market doesn't strike me as unique midwest food. Or DSM food. Many pizza places across the US that does exactly what they do. I don't think of pizza when I think Iowa really.

So you two are the only ones what are on the board?

Actually no. This was before the wall of fame. We had the official timer and all that jazz but no official pictures or anything. Somewhere there is a video of him finishing the last couple bites. My friends have pics for proof haha!!!!

Don't fret it. I'm about 95% sure there's a Ryno sandwich at Mullets due to the fact he's the I-Cubs manager and Principal Park is across the river. If that wasn't the case, I don't think you'd see sandwich there named after him.

I assume you like the I-Cubs? I mean....is it even legal to hate any minor league team?

I don't hate the Cubs. Hell, I cheered for them in '03, and the one time I went to Wrigley. I'd just never ID myself as a Cubs fan.

Never even thought about the fact that Ryno is the I-Cubs manager. I assumed the whole Cubs/Principal Park thing, but never dug much deeper.

Show was alright. His impersonations were mildly entertaining...Now I know what it would be like if Marko Ramius ever visited the High Life Lounge...

Anyone else crack up at his shirt?

That shirt cracks me up. One time in college, we were going to visit a friend who went to Iowa, and we cranked the Beastie Boys as soon as we hit Brooklyn, all the way to IC.

Im betting 50 bucks you still will watch tonight.

Were you betting me? If so, where/when can I collect?? I was gone all night and just got home. Even so, I have watched that show twice that I can remember and I can't stand the guy at all.. He thinks he is king **** because he can eat a lot of food and people that want to be on TV stand there and pretend to cheer for him. When in reality he is just a fat guy that apparently likes attention and lucked out to get a TV show.

Heard on the radio that some group complained because it showed a black man wearing it and painted african americans in a negative light

Yeah and its exactly the reason I hate it.. Like I said in my first post.. After which he bet me I would watch it, to which I reiterated my hate of the show
