Been a ISU fan since conception and graduated from there after 5 fun filled years. Dad graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree, uncle went there. It was a pretty easy decision for me

I graduated from UNI. I have always been an ISU fan. My parents had season tickets and I grew up in Blairsburg, Iowa just north of Ames. The hawkeye fans in Hamilton county have to be the most obnoxious on the face of the earth. I love UNI as well but I will always be a clone first. My wife and I have a goal of retiring in the ames area. We currently live in the Kansas City area. (Liberty, MO)

I graduated from the University of South Dakota, moved to West Des Moines around 2 years ago. I was on the fence for the first couple of months after moving to Iowa, I can honestly say that the Hawkeye fans really turned me off to cheering for Iowa. Soon after I met a beautiful, smart woman who is an ISU alum, and she got me hooked.

From what I have experienced the Cyclone Nation is humble in victory, gracious in defeat.

I grew up in Ames, my dad was a professor at Iowa State until just last December before retiring, and I grew up going to basketball games at Hilton. When I was growing up, ISU football was just plain awful (Criner-Walden), so I'm not as big an ISU football fan as I am basketball. I went to UNI and love the Panthers as well, but I did grow up a Cyclone.

From Ames and both parents are ISU grads. Went to Iowa cause I thought it would be good to get out of town. Don't regret it at all. I am not a hawkeye sports fan.

I was a Hawk fan growing up, and was still a Hawk fan when I began attending ISU. I graduated in 1999, and I think the backlash from Hawk fans whenever ISU wins continually pushes me farther and farther towards the Cyclones.

At this point, I still root for the Hawks to do well when they're not playing the Cyclones, mostly because the rest of my family have been great about doing the same in reverse. But every year I find it more and more difficult to wish the Hawks well.

Not an ISU grad. In fact, my Masters is from Oklahoma:confused:!!

In my defense, I was stationed in Hawaii at the time and it was the only Big 12 school with a extension campus on base.

Grew up an ISU fan and never even considered changing. GO STATE!

Grew up going to games with my dad (former Iowa State professor) and brother (current Iowa State student). Went to college out of state for academic reasons. But I still follow the Cyclones very closely.

ISU '94.

Grew up a hawk fan. Went to ISU for school purposes. Was naive enough to think I could still be split between the two, and neutral when they played each other.

That lasted until week 3 when I went to my first iowa/ISU game. Never looked back.

I always thought the campus was better for scholastics as all the poets went to Iowa City. Their campus is a hodge podge.

Born and raised a Cyclone...always will be....never even considered anybody else. Graduated with Biology degree in '02. I'm now in grad school at Duke....happy to cheer for them, but I would wear my ISU gear into Cameron Indoor Stadium if the Cyclones played here in basketball. (this may threaten my life, by the way)

Grew up as a Hawkeye fan, but always casually rooted for Iowa State to do well, too. When I started as a student at Iowa Sate, the Cyclones became my solid "second favorite" team before supplanting Iowa at the top sometime during my sophomore year. I consider being a Cyclone fan something that oftentimes is more "endured" than "enjoyed" -- especially after some clunker football seasons in the 90's and those heartbreaking "oh so close" years in 2004 and 2005. But maintaining undying loyalty to Iowa State is a badge of honor that I wear proudly. No matter the fortunes of any of our sports teams, I will always love the Cyclones. I remain optimistic that under Jamie Pollard, our devotion will soon be rewarded!

I am not an ISU grad. I was born in March of 1980 and attended my first ISU football game that fall, I have been hooked ever since. My parents have had football tickets my entire life. I remember many cold and rainy saturdays sitting in Jack Trice. No matter the weather we were there.
