Big XII WBB Tournament - Who’s Attending?

January and February were a bear this year, both weather-wise and work-related. We just finished launching a new work management system and I have time to breathe!

I’m giving serious consideration to attending the WBB tournament for the first time in years. I found all session tickets for $156, though I haven’t pulled the trigger. My wife has conflicts and my OSU alum work buddy is mulling it over.

In the interim, who’s going to KC? Where do you stay and where do ISU fans congregate? Do you attend all sessions or just ISU games? TIA

Big 12 Wrestling Tournament

We are headed to Tulsa for the Big 12's. We have never been before and don't know what to expect or what to do in Tulsa while we are there. We are staying close to the BOK Center but have heard there is not much of a bar/restaurant scene in the area. We are leaving early Thursday morning from central Iowa so will get down there at a decent time. Where do Cyclone fans hang out? What should we put on our list of things to do and places to eat/drink. We prefer local places when we travel. Thanks for any information from people who have been to Tulsa and Big 12's.

Williams & Blum: Cyclones aren’t dead; nod to Ejim

How big of a deal is Iowa State’s loss to Texas Tech? Well, pretty big. But Chris Williams & Brent Blum are here to give perspective on the coming weeks. A massive road test at Arizona looms on Monday. The guys also discuss Melvin Ejim’s jersey being retired and more, all presented by Mechdyne.

RECRUITING: Iowa State’s 2027 basketball class: Where things stand now

With the 2025–26 season entering its final stretch, Iowa State’s staff is beginning to narrow its focus on the 2027 recruiting class. The Cyclones already hold one major commitment and are in the thick of several high‑level recruitments. With four signees already in the 2026 class and the transfer portal remaining a yearly factor, TJ Otzelberger will be selective about who joins the program alongside the early commit.

Reaction Time: Bastida’s Final Bow, Big 12 Allocations & March Positioning

Jacqueline Cordova and Ben Visser recap Iowa State’s final dual of the season, which featured an unconventional start at 197 pounds and carried plenty of storylines from start to finish. Plus, a deep dive into Big 12 allocations, coaches’ rankings, and RPI. Presented by Fareway Meat & Grocery.

Twister Sister Summary - Another Rematch, Another Nail-biter?

Here we are. Last game of the regular season. After this everything is an elimination game. This is a rematch of a very tough foul fest with KState. What to expect? Who knows.

No. 16 Texas Tech's "greater sense of urgency" dooms No. 4 ISU to first home loss of the season

Buying NCAA Tourney Tickets

With today's result I see a chance that ISU gets put in Portland for the first round. That's less than a 4 hour drive for me. For those who have gone, what's the best way to buy NCAA Tourney tickets? Scalp with cash outside the venue? Ticketmaster resale? Other? My biggest concern is getting scammed by a fake ticket. But I also don't have a ton to spend on a ticket, so looking for methods that are more likely to get a good price. TIA!

Is Jefferson underappreciated?

Statistically, he's having a great year. Yet, it seems like he doesn't get the credit he deserves. I see the criticism with the turnovers and missing some bunnies (I'll admit I'm guilty of this at times as well), but if we're being honest with ourselves that is just nitpicking. He's being asked to do a lot for this team. For comparison, below are the season stats for Jefferson vs Deandre Kane for his one year here - I think most of us would agree Kane had a great season for us.

Jefferson: 16.6 PPG, 7.5 RPB, 5.2 APG, 2.5 turnovers per game (47.7 FG%, 36.1 3 pt%, 69.7 FT%)
Kane: 16 PPG, 5.6 RPB, 4.9 APG, 2.9 turnovers per game (48.3 FG%, 39.8 3 pt%, 63.5 FT%)

He only has a few more games here. Appreciate him in real time and not just when you look back on him here.
