With the 2025–26 season entering its final stretch, Iowa State’s staff is beginning to narrow its focus on the 2027 recruiting class. The Cyclones already hold one major commitment and are in the thick of several high‑level recruitments. With four signees already in the 2026 class and the transfer portal remaining a yearly factor, TJ Otzelberger will be selective about who joins the program alongside the early commit.

Does anyone know if there are any visitors yesterday? Would’ve been a lot better game to be at than the Texas Tech game. The 2027 class has the potential to be pretty special.

Are these in order, if so, I like being last.

looks like we are indeed last on the visit schedule wooohoo

Somebody on that list not only went further than us but is the only team to beat a #1 seed. Not trying to start an argument but they do have selling points they didn’t have just over a week ago.
100% true. And negative recruiting doesn't benefit anyone.

ISU just had one of the most versatile and skilled forwards in college basketball the last 2 seasons. I think that’s a bigger selling point than beating Nebraska in the sweet 16

If a kid chooses Iowa BB over ISU BB he obviously has some serious brain damage, so it's probably good that they have a hospital there..

Can’t believe you got me defending them but here we are. They beat a one seed to get to that game. Like it or not they and Nebraska are legitimate contenders now.

And somebody on that list is the only team to drill a #1 ranked team by almost 30 on their home floor who went to the Elite 8 and won their conference tournament.

And they don’t have BiG money. So what’s your point?
The point is not every Cinderella goes on to greatness after one Tourney run. Iowa was also a 9 seed who didn't exactly finish the regular season strong or compete for a conference championship or get mentioned as a Nat Champ contender like ISU. We have much better sustained success recently.

Remember NC State a couple years ago? They went to the Final Four as an 11 seed. Seems like eons ago, especially when they didn't even make the Tournament this year.
