Read something the other day sounds like he is stuck with the Jets. Hope I'm wrong.
All indications are that Breece will be tagged. I'd seriously consider holding out if I was him pending a trade request.
Take the $11 million tag and play the season, and then leave after the season if the do not offer a longer deal. Hall is only going to be 25, and plenty of years in front of him.
Problem is. They can tag him twice! And then get gets no guaranteed money in case he has a serious injury.
Agreed. Posted in another thread the easiest way to know you are in a trash franchise is to say you want out when you have the option to get out and them franchise you because they don't give a $hit what you want.
True but the tag increases the 2nd year if the Jets tag him. At the end of it, he would only be 27 at the start of the 2028 season. Still young enough to get a 3 to 5 year contract. It's all about staying healthy and producing.
What does he gain by sitting out but losing money? Have you ever seen a back that sat out that came back to anywhere close to where they were before they left. Hall is still healthy, and young, only played 4 years, and even if tagged twice it would only be in year 6 of his career.
Why would the Jets let him walk, they have plenty of money to spend, and they missed their chance to trade him unless they could work out a deal to sign and then trade him.
If the Chiefs don't get Love in the draft I would love for them to send a 4th or 5th round pick to get DM. It sure seems like Breece will get some kind of tag which is unfortunate as he would probably thrive with a change of scenery. I don't think the Chiefs could clear enough cap space to sign him if he isn't tagged.
DM is going to keep losing work to Gibbs and he will be 29 going into this coming season which for a RB is in that that range where you don't have too many more years left of being a lead back again. If it only would take a 4th or 5th round pick to get DM that is probably a steal for any team IMO. The rumor was the Jets wanted a 2nd or 3rd round pick for Hall at the deadline as the Chiefs supposedly offered them a 4th rounder and that is for a guy that was heading into free agency. DM is still under contract for this season and next.

If they do not get Love, then KC need to get the other running back out of ND in the 3rd round, its a position of need that must be fixed. Love would be the best choice for the team, but I am really starting to think that NO is getting to take him at #8. No matter what, KC needs to get better at the position.
Jadarian Price. He can hit a home run any play, but has fumble issues. He is probably available in rd 3.
Love is trending like a Saquon/Bijan type of talent. He feels like a top 10 pick like you said.
Now if the Texans would lure Campbell from Penn State to coach his all time great players in the NFL, that would make that fiasco worth it.
I watched every single Texans game last year. That was a super bowl roster with a dud of a QB.
