RECRUITING: Minnesota offensive lineman commits to Iowa State

Iowa State’s 2022 recruiting class grew again on Friday when it added a commitment from one of the program’s priority offensive line targets.

Minnesota offensive tackle Deylin Hasert announced his pledge to Matt Campbell’s program in a statement released on Twitter Friday evening. He is the Cyclones’ sixth commit in the 2022 class, first offensive line pledge and first commitment from the state of Minnesota in this cycle.

Hasert, who is listed at 6-foot-5, 280 pounds, visited Iowa State earlier this month and is considered the No. 65 offensive tackle in the class by 247Sports. Rated as the No. 4 player in Minnesota, Hasert also held offers from Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota and Kansas State.

Hasert is Iowa State’s second commitment of the week, joining Ohio punter Tyler Perkins, who is considered the No. 2 punter in the country by Kohl’s Kicking.

Iowa State’s class currently ranks as the No. 51 class in the country and No. 6 class in the Big 12.
