RECRUITING: Ohio offensive lineman commits to Iowa State

Another of Iowa State’s priority offensive line targets in the 2022 recruiting class has entered the fold.

The Cyclones landed a commitment from Ohio offensive lineman Avery Henry on Sunday. The 6-foot-6, 305-pound three-star prospect visited Ames earlier this month.

Henry, a native of Saint Clairsville, Ohio, is rated as the No. 139 offensive tackle in the country and No. 48 player in Ohio by 247Sports. He chose Iowa State over other offers from Syracuse and Eastern Michigan.

This is Iowa State’s second offensive line commit of the weekend, joining Minnesota prospect Deylin Hastert, who announced his commitment to the program on Friday. Iowa State’s class currently ranks as the No. 47 group of pledges in the country and No. 6 class in the Big 12.
