RECRUITING: ISU commit Rocco Becht named QB MVP at Rivals Five-Star Challenge

Iowa State quarterback commit Rocco Becht continues to turn heads on the camp circuit.

The Wesley Chapel, Fla. native was named the Quarterback MVP at the Rivals Five-Star Challenge, which hosted some of the country’s best high school football players in the 2022 recruiting class, on Thursday.

Becht, a three-star prospect, is considered the No. 78 quarterback in the 2022 recruiting class by 247Composite, but that ranking can likely be expected to rise after his standout showings at camps across the southeast over the last several months.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound son of former NFL tight end Anthony Becht committed to Iowa State back in April over offers from Ole Miss, Wake Forest, Toledo, Marshall, Southern Miss and numerous other FBS programs.
