RECRUITING: Mississippi DE Cordarrius Bailey commits to ISU

Iowa State has picked up a commitment from three-star defensive end Cordarrius Bailey, per his Twitter.

The 6-foot-3-inch, 215-pound prospect is rated as the No. 31 weakside defensive end in the 2017 class by 247. He’s the No. 560 player overall and No. 11 in the state of Mississippi.

Bailey picked Iowa State over Mississippi State, Louisville, Memphis, Southern Miss and a handful of other schools. He projects as a Leo for Iowa State.

He’s the second defensive end and third defensive lineman in the 2017  class joining Cedar Hill, Texas defensive end Deven Lamp and Lenexa, Kan. defensive end Angel Dominguez. He’s the second-highest rated commit in Iowa State’s class behind Mississippi athlete Kam White.

Bailey is commit No. 19 in Iowa State’s class. The Cyclones moved up to No. 32 in the 247 2017 class rankings with Bailey’s commitment.
