I was just looking up some MBB recruits for the class of '09, and found a website for Xavier Thames, a 3 star PG out of California.

We have a legit chance at him, but more likely he will go to Washington State.

Coach Otz was here in Feb. to check him out in person. His team had a "mutiny" where most of the team refused to play a game unless....I do not know exactly what the "unless" was but the coach ended up resigning. This was a coach who had won a section title at another school. The parents and players had said that the coach wasn't getting all he could out of the team. I do not think they improved any once the coach left.

I think you are mistaken. Coach Norman Dale was not left go after the referendum on his job failed. Jimmy Chitwood's last minute support was cited as having a significant influence on the decision to keep Coach Dale.

A little off of this topic, but I was looking at his site and the game pictures. I am always amazed at how few people attend these HS BB games. I went to a local Class A small school game this winter and they had 10x the people that attend some of the games of these recruits.

Agreed. I'd stay away from that pair.
