This kid is not going to ISU unfortunately. I am actually surprised he is even going to college. He was clocked at 96mph on his fastball about 2 months ago and has high MLB draft written all over him. IF he goes to college it will be Iowa to play 2 sports.

I heard he was announcing at 11 am, can you verify?

Apples and Oranges here. Football and Baseball do not run into each other. Also think about what you are doing here. Making fun of one of the few d1 power 5 players that plays 2 sports for their university. I would say he is doing well at both. Not a superstar at either but contributes to both
Connor is an overall average basketball player and he's an overall below average baseball player. No, he's not a superstar at either, but he's not a star at either. If I were a coach of either program I wouldn't necessarily want Connor to play the other sport because there are areas of each he really needs to work on.

Way up there
If everyone puts @UNI1ISU2 on ignore and he still posts, does anyone see it?

the ONE silver lining to having no March Madness was missing out on the pro UNI/Iowa, anti big 12 troll threads we would have had to endure with his two favorite teams playing while we sat home. You know he had been planning them for months.

Yea, but what if you were a coach AND he was your son?

If it's his dream to play MLB, then go to Iowa. If it's his dream to play WR in the NFL, go to ISU. Pretty simple really.

Just ask Allen Lazard and Hakeem Butler.

Exactly. If you’re a WR and choose to go to Iowa over ISU, something is wrong with you.
I would understand in this case if baseball is his passion though and he has pro potential.

We have two WRs in the NFL and Butler didn't even play his Rookie year it's not like we're WR U or anything. Is Newell stupid because he choose us over Iowa(who has way more OL than we do WR in the NFL)?

I watched this kid play last year and was on the field before the centennial/Ankeny high game. I’ve said it a few times but I couldn’t believe how big those kids were and he was even a man among boys there. Would love to get him.

Same here. Took my son to the Ankeny youth football night and watched him play. By far the best player on the field. Would be a great get for ISU.

You do know what Butler didn’t play because he was hurt right? And that our HC hasn’t been here long enough to label us anything U.

Some idiots in this thread owe you an apology. Spot on.
Lol I remember when I got raked over the coals for saying when Terrence Lewis and why some were making a big deal of getting a player that didn’t look like a big12 player coming out of high school and coming off some talented teams we had why we were ok with being excited about mediocre talent like that ...... wow did I get called nasty crap about that and I was a troll and all this stuff from I’m guessing guys that didn’t play or their life is sitting on the internet locked and ready to call people out on their options. Btw for who ever that was how awesome did he turn out for us ..... lol so good luck on those apologies
