2003 without a doubt. I do not care that they won 2 games that year, they were awful. No chemistry, nothing.

This, I didn't follow ISU closely until 2000 but 2003 was horrible. We are more talented than that team.

People have short memories.

2008 was far worse. 2003 was far worse. Most of the 90s was far worse.

The Texas meltdown sent this season down the crapper. We win that game things are different IMO. That loss was just too much and the difference between 1-3 and 2-2 is huge.

You must also have a short memory - The UNI game sent this season down the crapper.

I guess you can have a similar argument for 2008. Almost beat a ranked Kansas team at home (up 20-0 at half and lost by 2). After that the season went down the crapper. I can't say for sure this team is better than 2008 right now.

No, many were worse. As a 70's grad, I can remember a number of teams that weren't even fun to follow. I still hunker down on the couch with optimism around this squad. Other than the Baylor game, each week has given me positive vibes prior to the rug being pulled out.
Bad teams don't give you that.

That's funny cause I feel this way about our current team.

That 2007 team was effing awful. Shaggys game versus Iowa was great and all, but my god, that team was an absolute train wreck. Like atomic explosion sized train wreck.

That team was awful but it got better as the year went on. Still managed to win 3 games that year and played Missouri and OU close. This years team to me looks worse, but still could improve.
