This ride was originally designed without the use of restraints. But on the other side it almost seems bizarre that a ride that's in the water, that could potentially capsize, would have restraints.

The Log Ride and most rides like it don't have any restraints.

the kid got decapitated

Living in Kansas City, I don't think any of the news outlets ever confirmed that he got decapitated. Although, I think your right because the media here has jumped around how the mid unfortunately died.

I live here and it was confirmed. His own brother was quoted at the scene saying it.

When I saw this headline, I couldn't believe they were going after an employee. After reading the indictment, I have no sympathy from the guy at all, and fully acknowledge Schlitterbahn is going to go down pretty hard...

They should all be thrown in prison. Criminal negligence that led to a death. It's absolutely insane that the people that designed it had no relevant engineering experience.

Makes you wonder about the other rides they have there.

What a **** up. Executives charged with murder.

Regulations are always bad though, right?

Opening next spring at Schlitterbahn Water Park. I would say not for the faint of heart.
