Lol! Talking about how BYU has rules against sex and the controversy about the basketball player that got kicked off the team for getting a girl pregnant and CW goes right into "I like these BYU folks! They hate Utah! I have a lot in common with them!" Blum smart enough to offer no comment. I know CW didn't mean it the way it sounded, and it was about how much BYU fans hate Utah, but still hilariously awkward.

BYU had a really good team (like, top-10 good) built around a big man named Brandon Davies. They kicked him off the team in the middle of the season supposedly for having premarital sex with his girlfriend, one of the volleyball players. BYU proceeded to implode; Davies landed relatively softly with a short NBA career before a long and successful overseas stint in Europe. Add in the racial dynamics of the story (Davies is black, his girlfriend was white) and the Mormons' (awful) history with race and you had quite the story there.

That team had Jimmer Fredette on it as well and we had reached the Elite Eight in the NCAA March Madness Tourney when they had kicked them off. We go on to lose the next game.
