If you didn't already know, Glen Hansard (the main guy in Once) is the lead singer of The Frames.

You may want to check them out if you like the soundtrack.

I'll definitely do that. And thank you for another good music suggestion. :notworthy:

Way ahead of you....I saw The Frames in Austin 2 years ago for ACL Fest.....If you are a fan of The Frames, I might recommend Trashcan Sinatras to you.

Awesome - thank you, too!! I would love to go to ACL Fest - we record the show every week. I tried talking the husband into hitting Lollapalooza this year, but I had to travel for work.

Nice. I have sampled the Trashcan Sinatras a while ago, but didn't get into them big. Too much music, too little time!

Not to play "one-up" here, but did you guys know that Glen Hansard played the guitar player in "The Commitments", another of my favorite music movies??

I can't get enough of the new Kings of Leon album, or the newest Spoon album. Neither are exactly obscure, but I'm loving both of them.

So glad you asked.....

In no certain order the best movies of 2007:
Grindhouse
Once
No Country for Old Men
There Will Be Blood
King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters
Hot Fuzz
Superbad
3:10 to Yuma
Eastern Promises

and you have to be kidding....I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry?

Wow...

That is a really good list. I would also recommend The Host to round out a Top 10.

That Spoon record is HOT HOT HOT.....

So is the new Wilco...Hell, 2007 saw a LOT of great releases in music...

As an aside, the ACL Fest we went to was in 05...The lineup was STELLAR!!!

Oasis
Coldplay
Lyle Lovett
Bob Mould
Kaiser Cheifs
Kasabian
Theivery Corp
The Frames
Arcade Fire
Bloc Party
Buddy Guy
Mike Doughty
Lucinda Williams
John Prine
etc
etc
etc...

I would recommend it as far as the big American Festivals go...Very well organized and not too $$$$...

Led Zep is rumored to headline Bonnaroo this year fyi...

I am super-jealous of that line-up. I either love or have heard great things about every performer on there. I'm wanting to go see Wilco when they're here in March - is it the Val Air???

I think I could rally a whole bunch of troops to see Zep!

I really thought they tried too hard in making Wild Hogs. You could see every single joke coming from a mile away. It's worth a watch/ maybe a rent, but that's about it.

Totally what I thought as well. For some reason my parents loved the movie and wanted me to watch it with them. I found myself forcing laughs so that they didn't feel bad. I just thought it was very cheesy.

Zeppelin made one good record...."Presence"

Wilco IS at the Val Air in March....They were here about a year ago or so and it was AWESOME. It was the last night of that leg of the tour and the roadies got to pick the setlist. Holy smokes was it a good show...Tweedy wasn't a **** or anything.
