Browsed the Tennessee board. Most feel its a game they should win, but playing at Hilton puts a decent amount of doubt in that. Pretty fair assessment from their end. If Wigginton gets going and Lard continues to play well, I think it will be a game we win.

I have a feeling the atmosphere at Hilton will be good tomorrow.

That's not how it's chosen. South Carolina didn't play in it last year after finishing third, and making the Final Four, the year before. Tennessee and Auburn played last year and finished 12th and 13th the previous year.

Actually, USC,e made the Final Four in 2017, not 2016.

The SEC says that previous year rankings aren't the only consideration. So, in that respect, you are correct. I suspect coaches can opt out if they have a valid reason. Also, it's a two-year cycle which affects who is in and whose not.

Regardless though it's one teams entire conference and a sampling of the other that can fail to include the worst teams. It seems like UK is always involved.

Big 12 goes 4-6 vs the SEC. I’ve thought the league is good like everyone else, but also think it’s overrated.

Tech gets the most impressive win on the road at South Carolina.

Kansas State pulled out the ugly win at home but us and Baylor gets the awards for worst performance.

Meh, that will be the narrative, but the overall body of work says otherwise. The dogs of the SEC aren’t playing for the most part, and it’s mentally difficult for contenders with not a lot of need to prove anything to get up for something like this in the middle of the conference race.

the team leading the SEC didn’t play. The others that didn’t play were middle of the pack, but include Mizzou who kicked our ass.

Overall unimpressive performance by Big 12.

I think the BIG 12 got exposed by the SEC. A weak kansas is on the way to another conference title, so how good are the rest of the teams. The worst team in the big 12 this year, beat a top tier team by double digits.

UGA is athletic. Some Big 10 teams are also good. PAC leads in overall suckage. ACC likely the best.

I thought TxT had the best win for our conference. ISU the worst loss.
And I still think we had the worst performance, but I can’t believe TCU lost to a 7-13 Vanderbilt team. Absolutely pathetic. Best of luck to Kansas State tomorrow. I really hope to see them crush KU. Bramledge will be rocking.

I had attributed some of TCU's recent struggles to starting with a fairly brutal conference slate (OU twice, KU, road games at UT and KSU), but that loss surprised me. Fisher's absence is probably a factor, but didn't seem to hurt Frogs vs. ISU or WVU.

It seems like a pretty natural thing for everyone to step up their games in the absence of a key player, but then return to reality after a short time.

That can happen, true. Teams respond differently. Losing the main scorer may require longer adjustment, larger percentage of time, or a player consider to be "team leader."
