Moss came out this week and claimed that he was the best WR of all time. I think that Moss is the most talented WR of all time, but Jerry Rice is the best by far. If Moss had the work ethic that Rice had, then he would probably be the best of all time

Jerry Rice, and it's not really that close.

Nobody that is as selfish and quit on their team as many times as Randy Moss can be in the conversation for the best of all time. And I'm a Vikings fan.

Jerry Rice, no brainer.

It is Rice... It could end up being Calvin Johnson, but he has to maintain his current level. Rice played for 20 seasons.

With his blocking, Hines Ward is the best all around WR, but if it's just the passing game, it's Rice.

You could argue Randy Moss and Brandon Marshall are as physically gifted as Calvin Johnson. Marshall is probably stronger, and Moss was faster. Calvin is taller and attacks the ball better. But they are all freak athletes.

It kills me that he said that while playing for the 49ers. What's really sad is that he is probably still the fastest receiver on his team and he barely plays. As good as Rice's QBs were none were as prolific as Brady for Moss's best season. Moss isn't top 5 for me. Great? Yes, but I think there is some level of intangible that is accounted for and a lot of guys surpassed him in that. Comparing across generations is next to impossible but what if Rice was in the league today with the passing numbers being put up. What if he spent a year with Brady? Rice is the benchmark. Johnson could surpass him BUT there will always be the question of the style of play.

Since there really isn't much of an argument for number one... Who is 2nd? I am inclined to say Marvin Harrison. But it is much more difficult to decide..

The only people who care about how well an NFL receiver blocks are people trying to validate Hines Ward's numbers. He doesn't even approach top 5 receivers unless it's just "blocking receivers."

Probably Moss. Then it get's real tough. Say what you want about him but TO was pretty damn good.
