I'll throw my hometown boy Nick Collison out there. McDonald's All-American, 2 state titles, great career at Kansas (Big 12 player of the year his senior year I think), and an average NBA career.

Just too bad Floyd didn't stick around and we might have got him AND Heinrich. Imagine that team...Fizer, Heinrich, Collison, possibly Tinsley, Horton. Wow!

I realize he went to a small school, but isn't Brooks McKowen (UNI) the state's leading scoring?

McKowen would be up there for sure. Jason Bohannon would also be in contention.

Raef will be on there.

Yes but he probably wouldn't rank in the top 20 all time of greatest Iowa players

Hoiberg
Lafrentz
Collison
Barnes

are the best lately

Next best would be
Hinrich
Haluska
Oliver
Horner
Maybe Bohannon
Worley was good in high school

Oliver was a heck of a high school player. He played against some pretty good guards in Ryan Sears, Andy Woodley, Matt Woodley, Andy Zedicker, Heinrich, etc and he was dominant.
