Since our boys will be sporting the white uni's does anybody else think this would have been a great game to have all the fans wear white?

Sure, but history of Cardinal/Gold Rule's Days have shown that our fan base either doesn't listen or just doesn't want to be told what color to wear.

Plus, Jack Trice doesn't seem to be a very good stadium to have "Insert Color Here"-Outs. Something to do with the fact that it's so open I believe...

The idea isn't that bad, but I think if we should have one-color apparel games, we should stick with cardinal/gold. We can't even get the crowd to wear all cardinal or all gold for one game.... let alone switching it to white.

I remember watching a game a few years ago and Penn State had a "whiteout" and EVERYONE was wearing white. It looked awesome.

...

Likely the later. We seem to have a pretty conservative "i'll be damned if I'm going to have someone else tell me how to do anything" crowd...too bad.

I was thinking the same thing. I am wearing a white shirt and yellow cyclone hat.

What color to wear to the stadium:

-default color is cardinal
-if other team has red as one of their colors, wear gold
-if other team has both red and yellow as their colors, match the color of our jerseys

Last week I had an idiot behind me wearing a purple Iowa State shirt
If you wear yellow against iowa you look like one of them, same goes for red and nebraska.

All the whining about "we need to focus on the team, it doesn't matter what I wear, I am going to wear whatever I want" is complete BS. We should be unified as a fanbase. It shows school spirit-adds to the overall experience-shows the world and especially the team and recruits how much pride we have as Cyclones.

I'll be wearing my new throwback jersey so I WILL be wearing white...

I just think white might go over better than cardinal or gold... people may not have the other colors but EVERYONE has white!

I've worn the same shirt tailgating and to the games for 6 years (its gold) so it pains me to have to put a shirt over it during Cardinal Rules games but I still do it.

I'll be in pretty much all cardinal tomorrow... with trace amounts of gold that cannot be removed. There will be no question as to which team that gold is ment for though...

GO STATE!!! BEAT IOWA!!! :rofl8yi:

It may be more of a communication issue. We have alot of old man fans that dont have access to the outlets we do. Hard to organize a large group to do this without it being communicated before hand.

If we have a lot of old men fans, then Iowa has 30 times as many. Somehow, they are able to organize their black-outs every year.

I really think you almost have to force these things on people via free t-shirts. I don't know...

Better wear white snowpants and parkas. I thought whiteout meant it was going to snow since frost is imminent Saturday.

I've thought about it and me and my buddy that does the same thing actually talked about getting new shirts for Chizik's new era. Shoulda, coulda, woulda....

It is not too late!!! Chizik has not won a game yet. You may be holding the keys to the castle!!

I think Pollard should organize something to put in the packets with season tickets.

It looks good to have the crowd have a unified color, although i'm not sure if it has intimidated the last two opponents. i have a old Troy Davis jersey i have woren since 96' but given the last two years and saturdays i am seriously thinking about changing up the attire this weekend, although i did wear it two years ago to the big game and watched Tate make his big heisman push.

Anyone see the pic in sports illustrated of the Penn State crowd. That looked so sweet! You could literally count the number of people in the crowd not wearing white becuase nearly everyone was.

I believe we should wear cardinal red for every home game. Period. If we promote this color for every game, fans can get used to wearing the cardinal and won't have to worry about what special color day it happens to be.

And the Golden Rules thing really ticks me off. Screw Nebraska and their colors. When they play at our house, we still dictate what color we want to wear. If we declare a Golden Rules day and some of our fanbase still wears cardinal, it makes them all look like cornholer fans. If we all wear red, it will be tougher to see how many kNU fans are in the stands. Our guys see red at home and know the support is there. We should not have to adjust our wardrobe for home games. I don't care who comes to town. Our primary color is cardinal and we should all wear it with pride.

End of rant. A sea of cardinal rocks.
