When do ABC coverage maps come out?

From my memory, I think they don't come out until tomorrow actually. My memory could be a bit foggy as we don't exactly have a ton of ISU games on ABC usually. However, I have looked this year a few weeks for other teams where I remember it coming out on Thursdays.

If it helps at all, the game will be available on ESPN3 no matter what to whoever has access to it around the country.

Last weeks came out on Wednesday, so I'm expecting it to come out at some point today. I'm not too worried, just don't want to be stuck with some ******** Big East game.

Even if I don't have cable?

It is super confusing as there is a difference between WatchESPN access and ESPN3 access although a lot of the content overlap and everything comes from the same website. While WatchESPN access depends on your television provider, ESPN3 access actually depends solely on your internet provider. Here is the list of the ESPN3 participating internet providers:

ESPN3.com FAQ

If your internet provider is on the list, you will get the game for sure.

As for WatchESPN access, only a few TV providers in the country provide access to it right now:

WatchESPN FAQ

If you happen to be one of the lucky few, then you would have access to EVERYTHING on the WatchESPN website. If that is the case, then coverage maps will never be a problem for you in the future.

what are the other ABC games at that time?

We are sharing that ABC timespot with the Louisville-Temple game. Therefore, depending on where you live in geographical relation to those teams will probably give you a good guess on which game you will get. Overall, I'd imagine our game will have a lot larger coverage area than the Lousiville-Temple game as I'd think our game would draw more viewer interest. However, Louisville is still undefeated if that means anything.

Not necessarily. Time Warner Cable requires a cable TV package in order to get both ESPN3 and WatchESPN. So, even though TWC is on the ESPN3 list, you will still need to have an appropriate cable TV package in addition to your Internet package in order to access ESPN3. To get around it, I sync my ESPN3 account from my in-laws, who's ISP really does provide ESPN3.

Only other game is Louisville v Temple so I bet the ISU/OU game gets everything west of the Mississippi and all of the Southeast.

If there is an exception to this rule it will be Minnesota. Obviously all bets are off if they are up against a Big 10 game, even a crappy one. But barring that, there are sometimes some real headscratchers what they choose to air up here.

But they're up against a Big East game.

This is very interesting. I've never heard of this being the case, but it doesn't mean it isn't. My guess is that Time Warner might be one of the only exceptions as they are one of the only ones which are on both the WatchESPN and ESPN3 list. For Iowa, we mostly just deal with Mediacom. I personally only have Mediacom internet access and ESPN3 works great. In fact, ESPN3 is the only reason I get their internet service.

I've also thought about getting a diferent internet provider and going the syncing route through a friends house who has Mediacom, but have never done it. Just for your information if you don't know, I did talk on the phone to one of the ESPN3 reps and they shared the information with me that the syncing lasts for 3 months total before you have to sync it again. I'm sure most people who go the syncing route have figured this out already but I'm sure it surprises most everyone at first.

Here's what happens:
1) Go to ESPN3.com and try to watch something on an ESPN3 network.
2) A dialog box pops up saying your ISP cannot be confirmed and tells you select your ISP.
3) After picking TWC from the drop-down, you are taken to the TWC site and asked to log in to your account.
4) After logging in, a message pops up saying you do not have an appropriate cable package for ESPN3.

I've complained several times to TWC about it, but their response is always that they would be happy to sell me an appropriate cable TV package.
