Lollapalooza 1993 with Rage Against the Machine, Tool (on the 2nd stage), and the band I went to see the most Alice In Chains. Their "Dirt" album is still in my top 3 albums of all time. Funny thing occurred when Layne threw a pig's leg out at the crowd after the first few songs. Second favorite would be any of the 7 concerts of Pearl Jam I've seen and the Metallica show at the Fairgrounds was pretty sweet too. Anyone remember the helicopter flying over before they played "One"? I was in total awe after that.

I did see Rage and System of a Down at a festival a few years ago. Both were really good.

Weezer at Hilton in the early 2000's was good.

1.Mraz with K'naan opening at Charter One Pavilion in Chicago in August 2009. - best overall concert i've been to

I haven't been to a TON of shows, but I've been to a few in my day, and honestly I saw Mraz in Australia a few months after his first album came out in a really tiny venue, it was just him, Toca the bongo guy, and a bassist, and they played for over 3 hours. It was an unreal show and he was really funny and can really perform. I don't think he'd be as good for me in a big place but that was a show I'll never forget.

The Truckers did tear it up quite nicely the other night. It was my third show since June and the best. I wasn't crazy about the venue. I'm not crazy about Wilco but that show last year was without a doubt a very good concert.

I would have to say my top shows are as follows:

1.Roger Waters @ United Center performing The Wall in its entirety
2.Rage @ Lolla 2008
3.Janes Addiction @ Rosemont Arena
4.Radiohead @ Lolla 2008
5.Matthew Ryan @ Schubas

I was very disappointed in that Rage show at Lollapalooza 2008. Could have been the gaggle of teenage girls near me that wouldn't be quiet, but I think it was mostly the 30 minutes they spent trying to calm the crowd down.

Radiohead the night before was awesome, though. Did you happen to catch a band called Does It Offend You, Yeah? Early afternoon show on one of the main stage. They completely kicked ***.

That was my first concert ever. Great memory. I took some buddies from high school down there (we were juniors or sophomores at the time) and they were blown away by the ISU campus.

I saw them there in '07, and I'm not sure which was better. That was the "Dirt Underneath" acoustic tour, and so it was a really interesting show. All acoustic, but they still rocked out later in the show. Patterson was so drunk that he almost fell over backwards during "Let There Be Rock", but their roady got a chair behind him to fall into.

Wednesday night's set list was just awesome. I about **** my pants when they started playing "Wednesday". One of my favorite Trucker songs, and they almost never play it. "Box of Spiders" really hit home, too, as my great grandmother passed about 2 weeks ago, so it was pretty timely.

No doubt there was significant amount of people that had NO business being up front. Stupid little girls thinking they were cool. Then they ******* about how rough it was! That sincerely ****** me off. So many posers. I had a blast though. No girls around me as I was lighting people up. As soon as Testify started, I lost it. The setlist was phenomenal! I camped out with 4 beers for 5hrs prior to the show to ensure I was up front.

Radiohead blew my mind. Well that, and I had some other help as well ;) Idoioteque was phenomenal! Nails also tore it up. I can't believe the bands that Perry signed to play the last few years. I wouldn't have gone if someone put a gun to my head. This year absolutely convinced me that Perry needs to step down. Lady Gaga, Green Day, Soundgarden, The Killers, etc......are you kidding? Pathetic. I didn't catch the band you mentioned. I'll give 'em a listen.

I have limited concert-going experience, but I had a great time at the Green Day concert last year at Qwest Center Omaha. Going last year really made me regret not going for American Idiot a few years back.

Paige and Plant at Hilton is probably the best show I have been too. Just never thought I would see those guys. When they did Going to California acoustic I was blown away.

This isn't a comment on my favorite concert, but if you are a fan of Going to California you should definitely check this out....

There really is nothing more to be said about Paige, Plant, and Bonham. But JPJ was/is a very underrated part of that band.

I don't know if I'd call it a concert per se, but my best live music experience was by far at Bonnaroo 2007. The whole weekend is just a really cool vibe. Getting to see The Police, Tool, the Roots, Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminal, the Black Keys, the White Stripes, the Black Angels, John Butler Trio, Gov't Mule, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Galactic, and so many other crazy fantastic bands all in one place was just beyond belief. The highlight of the weekend though was the Superjam with John Paul Jones, Ben Harper, and ?uestlove. Just absolutely amazing stuff.
