Uh, turf has evolved a bit since the horrific turf everyone had back in the 80's/90's. No indoor stadium in the last 5 years has had the crap installed. That being said, dumb idea.

But there still is a big difference between permanent outdoor field turf (the stuff with ground up tires that is great to play on) vs. new age removable indoor turf which is not nearly as good to play on. I agree it's not the astro turf of the 80s and early 90s but it still doesn't come close to grass and permanent field turf.
