What brewers would you like to see in Iowa?

When I went to Memphis for the bowl game I was all stoked to try Yuengling because I heard so much about it. I tried it and it just didn't seem to be anything special. Is it more about the history then the taste itself? What am I missing?

It's priced like a macro but much better.

You're right in that it's not anything special, but it's far superior to the other beers at it's price point.

Throw in the Law of Exclusivity, and there you go.

This explains it. I had one and thought the same.

A lot of beers have the Law of Exclusivity going for it. See Spotted Cow.

Hell, in college, guys used to bring back cases of Mich Golden. This was before it was sold in Iowa. But it was so much better than any other beer out there . . .
