1) James Taylor at CY Stephens
2) Linda Ronstadt at CY Stephens
3) Sonia Dada anywhere (the entire band)-if you haven't experienced this band, I strongly suggest you give them a try! Great and original sounds from this Chicago group and they play in the midwest often, or at least used to...

Andrew Bird
Fleet Foxes
Father John Misty
Ben Harper
Tom Petty
Maynard (Tool)
Dr. Dog
Wilco
Justin Townes Earle
Jason Isbell
Megafaun
Zach de la Rocha (Rage)

Lots of others. I suppose maybe the voices weren't as 'clear' as studio but more powerful.

Sadly, Paris Delane passed away in February of 2020. He was great.

Maynard was awesome when we saw him live at the Well 2019.

Saw them at Lalla in 2009. Not only incredible performance but hilarious between songs.

Beastie Boys had to cancel and he gave a shout out to Yauch.

Agree with James Taylor

Also saw Sting twice with Police and once solo and he sounded great live.

McCartney too. Always sings great.

KC
Dave King (Flogging Molly)
Nathaniel Rateliffe
Ken Block (Sister Hazel)

Two that really surprised me:
Chester Bennington (Lincoln Park) - I can't imagine what kind of damage he did to his vocal cords, but I saw them three times and he killed every time
Dave Draiman (Disturbed) - really impressive range and was spot-on when I saw him

Saw Stevie Nicks once, Tom Petty was usually spot on. Bono 10-15 years ago before his bike wreck was spot on at shows.

Saw Ray Lamontagne a couple years ago at CY Stephens, amazing live performance with just his acoustic.

Some of the terrible ones, 80s hair bands 25 years later, some 90s rock bands 15 years later. Also Counting Crows is one of my favorite bands but Adam Duritz is terrible live. He sings all out of key like he's reciting poetry instead of singing and changes the lyrics around alot.
