I think you can sum up the feelings in this thread by saying this was a window of opportunity that hasn't come our way for a long time. The pieces fell I to place this year like none of us expected. Lost Korie, Will, Babb, and McGee. My expectations were not high. A bit of me fells cheated not getting to watch Georges play it out. That's life.
Have faith in that we are on the right track. The future is bright.
Go State!

Thank you! Getting good use out of the ignore feature tonight. I don't get how anyone doesn't think we win with him out there. I don't think Fred and Walters would be bringing it up if they weren't thinking the same thing.

We are all wondering "what if". But I am in no way guaranteeing a win if Niang plays tonight. So many things went wrong for ISU, and so much went right for UConn. Its easy to ignore all the bunnies ISU missed and all the free throws they missed by saying "we win with Niang". Its a lame excuse and nothing more.

This thread is a joke. Where was the thread where we lose to Kansas without Embiid? Yeah, I thought so.

It definitely could have happened. We'd be idiots to say we beat KU for sure with Embiid just like a UConn fan is wrong thinking they'd have won for sure tonight with Niang in the game or playing in Omaha or Kansas City.

The title that we would have won for sure is silly. But you're basically saying we can't talk about simple truths of factors in the game.

Scream and freak out! WHAT IF WHAT IF WHAT IF!!!! NIANG! LAY UPS! EJIM! AHHHHH

We lost to a quality team. The same reasons we lost this game are the same reasons you could pin on any loss for any time for any team. This was a great season and it's dumb to waste time playing "what if".

Enjoy your Friday night. Go have another beer. It's over and trying to decide what tripped up the Clones the most is POINTLESS. Bright future and great things ahead for this team.

The premise is crazy on this thread, I refuse to read it because of that. It is no use talking about what could have been. The guys who played the game played great. Niang on the sideline, looked miserable, because he is a gamer. What more do we need to know?

No, its an easy excuse.

You could do this all night...
ISU wins if Ejim plays like the Big 12 Player of the Year.
ISU wins if they make free throws.
ISU wins if Long hits that late three with 50 seconds left.

I'm not going to change my opinion. You are wasting your time.

Do we win with Niang? Maybe...but having Niang out there probably cuts down Hogue's production. UCONN was better there tonight and congrats to them. They were the better team.

Thank you to Melvin and DeAndre for an awesome season and helping to establish ISU as a power again. Next year's team will miss those two but still lots to look forward to. Future is bright.
