Conference awards are being released as we speak. I'll edit this post as they come in.

Sixth Man Award: Khadijiah Cave, Baylor
Freshman of the Year: Gabbi Ortiz, Oklahoma
Player of the Year: Nina Davis, Baylor
Defensive Player of the Year: Chelsea Prince, TCU
Newcomer of the Year: Peyton Little, Oklahoma
Coach of the Year: Kim Mulkey, Baylor

Moody is unanimous first-team all-big 12. Seanna and Brynn were HM.

I'd hoped Seanna would make 2nd team. In conference games, she was 24th in scoring, 3rd in rebounding, and 13th in assists. I figured that might put her in the top 15. No real complaint here, though.

McGee-Stafford and Amber Battle don't belong on the first team.

First team should be the players who were unanimous selections. The first team shouldn't have 10 players.

They way it looks is the B12 coaches basically reward each teams best player by putting them on the first team with the exception of K-State.

Seanna had more points, rebounds and assists than either Lang or McGee-Stafford, for example.

Seanna is going to be one of those players who is never the star of the team but does everything every single night and fans start to take them for granted. When she is done at ISU everyone will lament how much they miss what she brought to the court every night.

Since I haven't been able to see her play a game down there, I now wish I would have gone to a game or two of hers up here.

Seanna goes under the radar and probably got slighted a bit. Should have been 2nd team when comparing not only stats but also consistency and impact on team. A little more scoring and she probably makes it.

Obvious congrats to Nikki -- hard work does pay off.

Nice surprise to see Brynn get HM. Could be as much for her defense as her offense.

I thought Bry might get freshman team since she won the weekly award a couple times. She must have been close.

It is dumb the way they have a 10 player first team and they bend over backward to try to have one player from every team whether they deserve it or not.

Great recognition for Moody. Unfortunately, seven of the first and all five of the second team are underclass we have to face again.

I'm with MRED on this one. Seanna should have been 2nd team easily. Congrats to Nikki. She played her way on in the 2nd half of the conference season. Well deserved.

Nikki belongs on first team after that many of the choices are ridiculous. As a couple others have posted these are PC picks to make all the coaches feel good. Not putting Seanna on second team is so wrong and I would put Bryanna on the freshman team. I know Kim M is a good coach but what did she do this year to be coach of the year? Your team was picked to be first and you finished there.

The love for Texas players is baffling to me. 6 players .... Really? And Lang was more umpactful than Stafford, so I just don't get it.
