Going to Boulder to see the game.... IF Deion is gone. The ticket prices are well over $200 each with him as coach. That's way too much to pay for a reg season college game.

Way too high. We have a tougher schedule this next year playing 5 of the top 8 teams in the Big 12 vs 3 this year.

Likely Win: South Dakota, Arkansas State, Arizona, Cincinnati, OSU
Toss up: Kansas State, Kansas, ASU, BYU
Likely lose: Colorado, Iowa, TCU

I'm thinking a 6-6 floor to 9-3 ceiling. I would bet us at 8-4
Colorado is going to be down and we have Iowa at home. At worst those are toss-ups.

BYU is our toughest game even though it is at home.

We need 3 things to happen to be as good or better than this year.

1) Better running game
2) Healthy Tights Ends (directly helps #1)
3) Healthy LBs

It would seem the WRs we are picking up are good enough. Obviously would be nice to have last years level but I think getting the running game elevated is more important.

My way out there early impact player pick for next year - RB Dylan Lee

Fair about Colorado I just think they have some good talent still and it is away. If Deon leaves, I think I'd put it in the toss up category as I would expect some transfers out in the spring window.

As for Iowa, I must have a more pessimistic view than most of this board. We've beaten Iowa 3 times in the last 10 game. I just think it's a hard game for multiple reasons.

I agree with your points on how we can be better.

I think that a big part of our offensive success is Hansen staying healthy. He’s really important.

Without Hansen they trot out Sama- and Sama is a "homerun hitter" that strikes out or hits homeruns, ala Dave Kingman back in the day for the Mets and Cubs. Sama is not a reliable running back.

One team has a "massive rebuilding job on both sides of the ball". This team is #6 - Oregon. Must be nice being a near blue blood and with a guy footing the NIL bill.

I'm not a rationale person when it comes to EIU but I definitely don't put a home game against them next year in the "Likely Lose" category. Will be disappointed with a loss in that game. That program is treading water at best and as of today they don't have a quarterback who is both (i) good and (ii) healthy.

a guy footing the NIL bill.

We need to get one of those going here.

Showing your age with the (appropriate) Dave Kingman comparison. Of course, so am I by knowing it.
Tommy Lasorda's reaction when asked what he thought of Kingman's performance is a classic.

This seems optimistic to me. I sure as hell Hope they are eight, but we are losing some key pieces both offensively and defensively.

Defense may not be as big of a setback relative to this year. Very possible that a healthy group of new players will be better than a banged up veteran group from last year.

The departure of Higgins and Noel is my biggest concern. If we have a few WRs step up and get TEs healthy maybe #11 isn’t crazy.

Again, hope I am wrong and this prediction is right.
I'll be f*cking ecstatic if we finish the year ranked ~ #11.

Tricky schedule next year.
Home: Iowa, AZ, ASU, BYU, and KU
Away: CU, TCU, OSU, Cinn and K ST in Dublin.

We could be very good and still lose 4 or 5 of these games.
It is tricky. It does have some benefits though. We do get the best teams (as it looks now) at home and only 4 conf road games. K State is so big, if you can hang a loss on them right away it really opens things up. If the d line can stay healthy, sky is the limit. Home schedule this year is great.

I'm reading online about the same old top dogs trying to find room and playing time for all their highly ranked million dollar recruits. When it comes to recruiting, Iowa State is never in these articles. Not even close.

Yet, we just won 11 games, beat one of those top dogs in a bowl game and are getting good preseason consideration for next Fall. I don't know how they are doing it, but I'm dang glad they are and thankful for everyone that chooses to be associated with ISU football. It is miraculous what they are accomplishing! Great time to be a Cyclone!
