I also had a problem with the water dispensing line freezing up. Doing some digging, it appears that fairly often, the tube would get too close to the inside of the freezer and so not enough insulation was there to keep it from freezing. One of the fixes was a heater, but it couldn't be used on a plastic interior panel (which mine was). My engineering solution was to run a length of weed whacker line up the tube past where it would. On the occasions it would freeze, I'd pull out the weed whacker line and water would flow just fine.

This was not an approved fix by the wife, so we ended up dropping a lot of cash on a new fridge. The GE now lives in the garage, dispensing not water, but beer.

Why would he do that if it's leaking?

I have a bottom freezer Whirlpool. It's 2 years old. Today is the second time in one month I've walked into a 3 ft. diameter puddle in my kitchen. I can see that it's dripping out of the corner of the freezer. Who can tell me how to fix it? Is it something I'm doing wrong or is it a fridge problem?
