Are all 5/6 public lots on a first come basis if I already have a mobile ticket/pass? It says PUB97 and am wondering if that is specific to one of the public lots. It's been years since I parked over there. TIA!!

Clearly we've met!I've always said, there are no dumb questions. Only dumb people who ask them.
But yeah, first come.

"Single-game car parking permits for the public grass lots (located south of the stadium along S. 16th St.) will be available to purchase starting on DATE TBD
Pre-sale parking will be sold online only and will cease at Noon the Friday before each game OR when passes sell out. Pre-sold parking passes for public parking lots allow entry into one of the grass public parking lots, all will be first-come, first-served with pass holders choosing their lot upon arrival. If available, parking passes for the general public lots will be available on site the day of the game."
For donor lots, they allow queuing 30 minutes before the lot opens. I'd imagine they would have the same rules for public lots, but maybe not.Pretty sure they won’t let “pre-staging” of vehicles to get in the lots either.
I am completely amazed at all of the wrong answers here. Dumbfounded, even. Are all 5/6 public lots on a first come basis if I already have a mobile ticket/pass? It says PUB97 and am wondering if that is specific to one of the public lots. It's been years since I parked over there. TIA!!
You can park in any of the public lots, its on a first come first serve basis, last season all the passes were sold out before the season and you could not purchase a pass at the gate, looks like the same thing this year. If you have a handicapped sticker you can use the pass to get into the handicapped lot for those that need it.
multiple games sold out last year. And the sales shut off at noon on Friday if they are not sold out. They weren't sold out before the season started, Iowa State shuts sales off at noon the Thursday of game week. Other than the Iowa game, I don't know if any of the games were truly sold out of parking passes.
Here's the map for lots south of the stadium. There usually is a line along S 16th to get in before the public lots open. It gets crazy if it's the Cy-Hawk game too, I have sat on Duff for over an hour before right after I got off 30 because they are too stubborn to start letting people in any earlier than 6 hours so they would rather just let traffic back up onto 30 instead apparently. I get why they have been strict on the 6 hours before but it's not like you are going to boot the hundreds of cars lined up along the side of S 16th 30 minutes before opening as it's just going to congest traffic around town as they keep circling back to get in line. Especially for the Cy-Hawk game would think keeping traffic around town flowing would be a priority even if it means opening public lots a little sooner.
Be aware that you need to come from a certain direction depending on the lot you want to park in too as they will not allow left hand turns into the lots so for lots G4 and G5 need to come from the East off Duff to enter, G8 from the West via University then turn towards Vet Med. Not sure how they do lots G2 and G3 anymore, they used to line up in Vet Med when it was still public parking and stage along the shoulder going in but that may be a right turn only now and have to come in from the West off University? You won't have a choice which direction you leave either as they basically turn S 16th to exit everyone towards Duff and away from the stadium. I personally don't like that because I need to go West on 30 but I understand that it keeps things flowing on University by not having that traffic funneling into there.
Either on campus or on a side street that parking is allowed.if you do not park in the donor lots or these public parking options, where do you park?
According to the ISU website, parking passes can be purchased up until noon on Friday before the game if still available. Not sure why they do not allow passes to still be sold right up to game time if not sold out. They do for the handicapped area, just have to pay with a credit card. They weren't sold out before the season started, Iowa State shuts sales off at noon the Thursday of game week. West of the stadium. In the sorority/fraternity areas...public street.if you do not park in the donor lots or these public parking options, where do you park?
The side street west of the stadium fill up fast, so if that is your plan, you have to get their early.Either on campus or on a side street that parking is allowed.
Are they ticketing on those anymore? I remember the city was giving tickets on most of the side streets West of the stadium a few years ago. But I didn’t see any no parking signs there last season. The side street west of the stadium fill up fast, so if that is your plan, you have to get their early.
We had multiple people coming to our tailgate park in that area last year and they never got tickets as long as they parked on the correct side of the street. Are they ticketing on those anymore?
