FWIW, that Delta Bravo out in NH that is a Jays fan thinks "all non-BCS schools are on the non-transfer list". If that's the case, it's 1.) a **** move, and 2.) good for the MVC.

I can't say that I can recall many players not being able to go to "any BCS school".

Post makes zero sense.

Wouldn't he only have two years to play because he has used his redshirt year? ANd taking him over Lockett just because the number of years he can play doesn't make sense. You take the best available. Also, Uthoff seems like he fits more in a system like Wisconsin, UNI or Creighton. Or maybe I am mistaken. Is he a good athlete that could play in an uptempo system?

He redshirted so he had 4 years to play at Wisky. Sit out one year here, play 3. I don't know why people keep talking about Lockett OR Uthoff. We can have Lockett AND Uthoff. Furthermore, they don't effect each other in any way at all whatsoever. Locket plays one year and is gone, Uthoff is sitting out that entire year. Completely unrelated.

On the Iowa rivals board there is some chatter he might be transferring. This is one I could get behind.

I agree. Wisconsin did not want to lose him and Ryan had talked him up. He had some great offers and was highly regarded out of high school. He seems to be transferring because he wants to play in a high tempo offense that better suits his style and strengths. Hoiberg was very high on him coming out of high school. He is a local guy, who is familiar with the ISU program. He's 6'8" and can stretch the floor at a position we will need some help in after next year. We have 2 schollys available very late in the process, so could take him and Lockett. What is not to like? If Bo Ryan tries to block him from ISU for no apparent reason, I hope he considers going to JUCO for a year (Indian Hills or Marshalltown, maybe) and then transferring in.

I didn't realize he was a high-tempo kind of player. Not disputing your claim, I just wasn't aware of that.

Maybe I am misremembering, but I have a memory that many were surprised when he signed with Wisconsin because other than being able to spread the floor he didn't really fit their type of system (not a banger but more of a finesse up tempo style player). He averaged almost 30 a game in high school and I know that his AAU team was more up tempo. He told his AAU coach he is transfering to find a better "fit" which I am guessing means style.

Just when i think some can't get anymore negative, twisted, and out of touch, i read how some wouldn't want a 6'8'' athletic, academic, clean cut Iowan who runs like a deer. Who's relative was a great ISU player i believe. And for the shiny objects, pretty stars crowd..... was a 4* Top 100 recruit out of h.s. by some sites. Hoiberg was really after him. I don't know if he is transferring or where, but i hope he is a Clone.

This. If he was a senior this year, people on here would be begging him to come here, but not now. Weird

Source close to the Bohannons says Matt Bohannon (uni) knew before Zach Bohannon (Wisconsin) that uthoff was transferring. Matt, Tuttle, washpun and uthoff all played aau together. Think maybe they are all joining up at uni again.

As a UNI fan and anti-Creighton fan, I really hope this is true
