Would love to see this helmet with cardinal jersey & cardinal pants.
Do you think that they will stick with these uniforms forever. I think this is a good chance to get new ones along with a new era sort of like Mizzouri changed theirs when they went to the SEC. Thank you for the constructive criticism though. I also don't like that Cy. I think that has to do with never actually seeing it used in real life, but I just don't like it.No. Our current uniforms may be a on Ole Miss/LSU ripoff (Not USC, shoulder stripes are different) but at least they look classy. The unnecessary pinstripes were cool 10 years ago when Nike decided to put them in as many designs as they could, but not now. Gold helmet should have a gray facemask and white helmet should have a white one. The red facemasks look tacky. The only things that should be changed about our uniforms is wearing the cardinal pants on the road occasionally, adding a white helmet, and possibly a gold one with the walking Cy like the one below.

I don't get this. That was really the only logo that truly represented the team. We are the Cyclones not the Cardinals or the I States. I just don't get it.Anybody who thinks swirly-Cy should be used again should be ceremoniously shot in the foot.
I have been saying this all day! As for the swirly-bird, that's the era I grew up in, so I actually like it and wouldn't mind seeing it make a comeback. As long as we abstain from ketchup and mustard colours, I don't see why not. But the current uni's and I-State are due for a change. Do we really want to continue with the stamp Gene Chizdik left on the program?I think that its important to start tradition ... the I - State logo is fine. If they want to change things up here and there... okay. Some of these designs seem to look more like motorsports helmets than football helmets...
I like the I State and changing completely away from it is a bad idea because we have just finished getting it into peoples minds. That being said it is flawed. It really doesn't work for football helmets and stuff. I do like it on the court and field though. It works for some things just not all of them. I like the idea of the swirly bird one because I like it, and it is versatile. I like the idea of Missouri. They have their logo that they have had as their logo still but they also have a more fluid version.I have been saying this all day! I agree and I think you could go one further and possibly have a helmet that is completely enveloped in a cyclone. If done right, it could look unique and really cool if the swirls were done right.I don't get this. That was really the only logo that truly represented the team. So much awesome in those helmets. That needs to be done.I like the I State and changing completely away from it is a bad idea because we have just finished getting it into peoples minds.
