This is fine with me, another hour to tailgate, but 3:30 pm is an odd time. 2:30 is natural to follow an 11:00 am game. Have we ever played at 3:30?
Or they have realized that 2:30 start times no longer work for football as college games always run long. Amazing what happens with college games when clocks stop after first downs, all the booth reviews, etc.

For what it’s worth, the UNI game is still being produced nationally by the ESPN folks, not locally like previous Cyclones.tv games. So it will be a National crew, etc. No idea what that means for control of kick time or the influence Iowa State has.

I went back to 1921 because before that the data for game times is pretty fuzzy.

1946 we played Colorado at 3:30pm

So in 2021 we are going to double our 3:30pm kickoff times from 2 to 4 and it will have been 47 years since the last one.

That whole day on ABC has been moved back an hour. 11:00 game will now be at noon, 2:30 moves to 3:30, and 6:00 moves to 7:00.
What’s the deal with that? Is that gonna be a new trend?

I don't have ESPN+ or CBS Sports Network, so I'll be spending some bucks to watch the UNI and UNLV games I guess. All these channels suck!!!

But it will all be worth it to watch the Clones kick UNI and UNLV's arses up and down the field.

In 1974 we played at 3:30pm against Washington. That was the first I found actually at 3:30pm

That'd go in the books as a 1:30 kickoff, since it was played at Washington. Local time (at the game site) is normally the time of record.

Its a one-time thing due to the 9\11 special, but damn if i wouldnt prefer that change. End 11am games.
I don't know, I went to college in the eastern time zone and have always preferred 11 a.m. games to noon games.

Although I'm biased because I've rarely had to travel a significant distance on Saturday mornings for games
