He played more than just that game. It was Sage that had his redshirt burned in the last game. It may have even just been for one play.

I think it was Todd Bandhauer that had his redshirt burned when Todd Doxson got hurt. McCarney brought him in and he proceeded to throw an INT.

Kind of like the Troy David playing the final game of his redshirt season?

Davis did run a punt back for a TD in that last game but he played in nine games that year. Was just remarkably underutilized as a freshman though.

I think Todd Bandauer was the qb that rs was burned for nothing .

Correct, it was Bandauer, after Doxcen got hurt chasing a Kansas guy 60 yards down the field after he threw a red zone pick. No harm no foul because that opened the position up for Sage to start as a redshirt Jr in '99.

Lol the faux outrage is entertaining.

Here's the script...

"I'm not sure if this is correct, but if it is CMC is stupid and the staff is dumb and they should be fired! This isn't Toledo football and they are going to be run out of town. It was a huge mistake to hire these guys since this is big boy football. Oh, he didn't play?"

The participation chart doesn't show Anthony Lazard (#53) playing, but I'm pretty sure I saw him on the kick team. So I agree, the participation chart isn't always accurate.

Anybody understand the logic of the player numbers on the pchart for players with duplicate numbers? For instance Jacob Park's number is 1J (while Peavy is 10).

It would be really, really advantageous for us if he were only needed in limited duty next fall: special teams, etc.

I have a hard time believing he's going to be playing at a high level as a freshman. Something Knott and Klein weren't doing.

Bingo. The list I saw Friday night showed him as someone who wasn't even dressing for the game.

Which leads to my only criticism of the coaching staff. I was extremely disappointed to see a list of players who weren't allowed to dress for the game and a list for who had to sit in the stands. I understand not dressing injured players but if the player practices all week he should be allowed to dress and be on the sidelines.

If Tymar Sutton did not play....,then someone needs to correct the electronic roster on Cyclones.com........which lists Tymar Sutton's 2016 statistics as 1 game played on 11-19-2016 versus Texas Tech.

email Pollard your outrage. The only participation report that matters is the official one for the NCAA and that isn't published

I honestly don't know, but I thought maybe they didn't dress because they weren't expecting to blow them out and didn't want everyone who isn't going to play to be cold. I hadn't noticed people not dressing previously so I figured that might be the reason.

See I liked it how coach Mac handled it, he always said "you practice, you dress".

Sage played in 4 games his freshman year. You might be thinking of Bandhauer. I think his RS got burned because Doxsen got hurt on a botched PAT.

Maybe CMC says "you practice hard, be a good teammate, make good grades, and some other stuff then you dress"... I don't think everyone needs a participation ribbon. Maybe he doesn't like a cluttered side line. Maybe there are lots of other reasons why the head coach does the things head coaches do that are not to our liking. I'm not second guessing him on something trivial like dressing for a football game. You played football so maybe you know what it feels like to get your feelings hurt, but CMC leads the program and warrants my blind adoration at this point.
