Maybe CMC says "you practice hard, be a good teammate, make good grades, and some other stuff then you dress"... I don't think everyone needs a participation ribbon. Maybe he doesn't like a cluttered side line. Maybe there are lots of other reasons why the head coach does the things head coaches do that are not to our liking. I'm not second guessing him on something trivial like dressing for a football game. You played football so maybe you know what it feels like to get your feelings hurt, but CMC leads the program and warrants my blind adoration at this point.

I understand your points, but as some other former players and I were talking about on the sideline Saturday what harm does it do to dress everyone who practiced. And it was more that they made some kids sit in the stands to watch that is what bothered the other former players I was talking with.

I hope you are right, but both are listed on the participation report.

The thing that troubles me is that Cyclones.com also has Tymar Sutton's stats listing him as a participant. Maybe Cyclones.com gets their information from the unofficial participation report and maybe they get it from the official participation report. Have no idea. I just know that I checked out both places before starting the thread.

Good question for the Coaches Call In show. Or perhaps CW could clear things up.

I'll tell you from first hand knowledge that Cyclones.com is not the place to go for stats and participation. It listed me as playing my RFr year in 2 games which I am 100% certain didn't happen.

Fair enough. Where do you go to see the Official Participation Report? And if Sutton indeed did not play, but someone filled it out wrong on the Official Participation Report, what happens?

That is weird, I don't see any reason that you wouldn't let players on your sideline for a home game. I can see not letting some dress, for instance those that are redshirting and you don't want to blow it even by accident. But making them sit in the stands? Doesn't exactly promote a team atmosphere unless they broke some rules.
